It is probably strange to title the first post to a new blog with the title “The End”, but that is exactly how I see this day. The end of the month of August. It has been an awfully long month. Many good things happened this month, but it has seemed to be very long.

The summer is ending. Warm weather is ending. The pool will be closing. I’ll stop wearing short sleeve shirts to my clients. I’ll stop running my car’s air conditioning everywhere I go. Long, hot summer nights are drawing to a close for another season.

Of course, there are also many things that are beginning. School is starting. Colorful trees are coming. Football season is near. Coats will come out of hiding.

As always, with endings come beginnings. I just hope I can look at this time as the ending of something, and the beginning of much more. J
